Meet Christina Kaz and Lilit Devejian

The founders and principal designers of LUXYSPACE, Lilit Devejian and Christina Kaz, are business soulmates.
“Sometimes you meet people and from that very first moment you feel like you have known them your whole life—that’s exactly how our journey began,” says Devejian.
The two had tandem life paths. Both are Armenian, effortlessly stylish, and even as young girls had an aptitude for interior design, rearranging furniture to the surprise and delight of their families. But they didn’t meet until they were adults when they formed an instant, powerful connection while working for a prominent custom-home builder.
“She was like a sister, but I’d only just met her,” Kaz recalls of their first conversation. “We knew it was perfect.” The two close friends are often mistaken for siblings.
Launching their own luxury interior design and staging firm was a natural next step. “Christina and I were so in sync,” says Devejian. “Our visions are always so in line. We knew we were a dynamic duo that would be unstoppable and there would be infinite possibilities to create thrilling, meaningful environments for our clients.”
In 2016, they co-founded LUXYSPACE.
CHRISTINA KAZ
At a young age, Christina Kaz learned that hard work, persistence, and loyalty make for the best foundation. When arriving in the United States from Armenia, her family had very little in terms of possessions, yet thrived through entrepreneurship with the foundational values she continues to place stock in today. Launching her own interior design firm with Devejian was a natural progression.
Kaz’s belief in the transformative powers of interior design dates back to her childhood. “Growing up, I always enjoyed fashion and design,” she says. “Even at a very young age, I knew that was where my future would be.” Kaz thrives on creating emotional, fulfilling experiences tailored to each client’s discerning taste.
“We are enhancing the quality of our client’s lifestyle, providing authentic environments that are aesthetically pleasing and true to each individual client,” says Kaz. “It is an honor to lead this process. I wake up every morning excited to help create an environment that our clients never knew could exist.”
Kaz received a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and headed a design team at a prestigious custom home-building firm. Meeting her business soulmate was the artistic, purpose-driven and cerebral trifecta that led to the creation of LUXYSPACE.
An adage Kaz abides by is, “Being true to yourself is always the best policy.”
LILIT DEVEJIAN
As co-founder of LUXYSPACE, Lilit Devejian thrives on helping others realize how much their environment affects their everyday life, both in the way they see the world and the decisions they make. “I find it quite magical to guide clients toward creating an uplifting space,” she says. “It is a transformative process.”
Devejian has a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Interior Design, and a robust background in art history. Prior to LUXYSPACE, she worked as the head of design at a custom home-building firm.
Believing that deep meaning is key to artistic success, Devejian can often be found curled up in her off-hours, poring over vintage art and design books. “I always tell clients, ‘we are the designers of our own existence, and there is nothing insignificant about our lives.’ I try to be intentional with my own life so that I can help our clients create the most empowering, vivifying spaces,” she says.
An adage Devejian abides by, “Timeless is always in style.”
